Dotted Birthday Daisies

I went out of town recently for a little birthday getaway, and before I left, I decided to try my hand at some quick floral nail art. I should probably know better than to try a new technique when I'm already in a rush, but... what can I say. I'm just stubborn like that! (Fitting for a Taurus, huh?)

These seemingly simple little dotted flowers were inspired by Alice over at One Nail To Rule Them All. I say "seemingly" because I don't know that mine really live up to how cute and effortless hers always look (actually, I do know: they don't!), but I feel like I at least managed a few nice flowers in the bunch? Dotting tools are among the simplest nail art tools out there, but for some reason I always struggle with them. I think maybe it's the fact that I just don't have very steady hands and it's hard to make clean, even dots when you can't keep your dotting hand still. Go figure!

The base color is OPI Can't Find My Czechbook and the dots are Glitter Gal White Pointer and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Trouble Maker.

Even though I wish most of my flowers had turned out better, I do feel like this was good dotting practice for me and I enjoyed wearing this manicure.

Thanks for looking!
