Purrfectly Grey

I know, I know... that title is the oldest cat pun in the book—I'm so uncreative today! I hope everyone will forgive me, though: things at work have been really busy for me lately, so I haven't had much time to work on super intricate nail art (OR come up with clever post titles). But I did manage to do this happy little kitty manicure recently that I wanted to share, dumb title notwithstanding!

I don't often go for the "cute" look with my nail art—I love so much of the cute nail art I see others doing, but I usually feel like my personality/style just isn't quite right to carry it off. However, I love grey, and I love cute little cats even more, so when I was browsing through my supplies trying to come up with ideas, this look seemed like a natural fit for me.

Nothing too complicated about this one: I started with a base of two coats of Nars Galathee (probably my favorite grey, as those who've been following me for a while might have figured out) on my thumb, index, and ring fingers, and then I added one coat of Different Dimension Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty on top of that. My middle and pinky fingers have two coats of FNUG Flat Boots and water decals I got from the Born Pretty Store. I also stamped my ring finger using Flat Boots and the MoYou London Pro Collection 04 plate.

Everything is also topped with a couple coats of HK Girl Top Coat to smooth things out.

Here's a closeup shot of one of the kitty decals—just so cute! Having these on my nails for several days definitely made me smile.

Thanks for looking!
