Happy to Be Blue

Nail Vinyls are the latest thing in nail art right now—I think everyone is using them! And I can understand why: I tried cutting scotch tape with craft scissors a few times to do chevron or zigzag nail art, but it was a huge pain and I never much felt like dealing with all the hassle going forward. Thankfully, however, I have an envelope of these precut tapes in my supply kit now, so I never have to resort to the craft scissors again! I'm still pretty slow and unpracticed when it comes to executing lots of nail art techniques, so anything that makes the experience easier is definitely a must-have in my book.

In addition to the Nail Vinyls, this manicure uses two new (to me) polishes that I'm seriously in love with: Nails Inc Gel Effect Mercer Street and piCture pOlish Freya's Cats. I was in a blue mood recently and picked up these two bold shades, and I'm so glad I found an excuse to use them together because I think they complement each other really well. I also had lots of fun wearing this manicure because I felt like it just screamed "HI, HELLO, HERE'S SOME BLUE!" at everyone around me and they couldn't help but notice.

The quality of both polishes was wonderful—easy application all around. I already knew Freya's Cats would be fantastic, because piCture pOlish stuff always is, but I was really pleased with the Nails Inc Gel Effect polish, too.

Have you tried Nail Vinyls yet? In your opinion, is it worth it to pick up a whole separate product for this kind of nail art when regular tape could also do the job?

Thanks for looking!
